City of Lights Talent Showcase

Encore Event Group worked with an organization @ University of Michigan Dearborn. Our main goal was to transform the space with color and designs for the performers. The show featured local comedians, poets, along with up and coming artists. The end of the showcase featured Detroit’s own Rashad Morgan, whose claim to fame is the 2006 hit song “Tell Em What they Wanna Hear” ft. T.I. and Yung Dro. It topped the billboard charts at #76.

Light Up My Event’s City of Lights package looked amazing in their space. It gave the right amount of color and design to help give their event flair and sophistication. When our lighting designers arrive to the location to setup the package we give enough time to program scenes. This is very important for events that have timed agendas. You need the lighting to snap into the correct location when the event starts.

Our City of Lights package is customized to give you many features. We can focus the lighting on the ceiling for a dramatic wash effect. You can even have a white circle aim on a doorway or speaker at a certain part of your event. Besides the ability to create custom scenes, the City of Lights package will also compliment your event during the dancing portion of the night. Since everything is computerized, the lighting will change seamlessly with the mood of your party.

Also if you look in the photos below, you will notice we also did some draping for a backdrop behind the performs. Since our fabric is white, it reflects the color of the lighting very well. Drapery is also used to cover areas of your space you might not want noticeable. We also applied a small swag effect to some of the panel to give the DJ a view of the dance floor area.

The City of Lights package is great for events that want to highlight certain aspects of the night. Whether a smaller party, or larger reception Light Up My Event will leave an impact your guests impression. Our goal is to give you the WOW factor.
